Upper Klamath Lake and its northern extension, Agency Lake, dominate this hydraulic landscape where the Williamson River flows through a series of complex wetlands. The western shore is defined by the steep elevation of Eagle Ridge, which provides a high-ground overlook of Shoalwater Bay and the adjacent Shoalwater Bay Marsh. This modern survey illustrates the intersection of natural hydrology and human water management, notably via the Modoc Point Main Canal along the eastern edge of the water.
