This 1971 field-checked survey by the Geological Survey documents a landscape defined by drainage patterns and arid transit routes in eastern San Bernardino County. The desert floor is bisected by the long, diagonal paths of Turtle Mountain Road and the Havasu Lake Road, which cut across the alluvial fans toward the Chemehuevi Wash.
