Evidence of historical land use is found at Nash Cem near Warden Draw, providing a rare genealogical point in a largely uninhabited area. The southern portion of the map is dominated by the extensive Lone Mesa plateau, which features a dense concentration of water management sites including Dead Doe Reservoir, Lone Mesa Reservoir, and Border Reservoir. These numerous reservoirs suggest the importance of seasonal water storage for livestock or forest management throughout the late 20th century.
