San Juan National Forest encompasses much of this high-elevation landscape in Dolores County, where a network of seasonal drainages and man-made water storage defines the local geography. The northern edge of the map follows the winding course of Disappointment Cr and is bisected by Disappointment RD, providing access to the remote Nash Cem. This area serves as a vital watershed, illustrated by a high concentration of livestock and irrigation catchments like Garner Reservoir, Island Reservoir, and the Dead Doe Reservoir.
