The high alpine peaks of the South Yolla Bolly Mountains dominate this 2018 survey of the northern California wilderness. The boundary between the Trinity National Forest and Mendocino National Forest bisects the quadrangle, which is anchored by the prominent summit of Mt Linn and the Twin Peaks. The landscape is defined by a network of drainage systems, including the S Fork Cottonwood Cr, Buck Cr, and Elkhorn Cr.
