Gifford Pinchot National Forest defines this high-elevation landscape in Skamania County, where the terrain is marked by prominent summits and essential drainage systems. The namesake Spencer Butte rises at the heart of the quadrangle, flanked to the south by Spencer Peak and the high ridge of Breezy Point. These peaks overlook a network of high-mountain wetlands and clearings, most notably Spencer Meadow and Wright Meadow.
