Winema National Forest encompasses much of this timbered landscape, where the Spencer Creek drainage flows southeast toward the Klamath River. The southern portion of the sheet is defined by significant water management and infrastructure, most notably the John C Boyle Reservoir and the nearby Spencer Bridge. For family historians, the Spencer Cem provides a specific point of genealogical interest situated just north of the reservoir.
