Strawberry sits at the edge of the Mogollon Rim, where the high Mogollon Plateau drops into the deep drainages of the Tonto National Forest. This landscape is defined by its verticality and the vital water sources that sustain it, notably Fossil Springs and Natural Spring. The historical footprint of the area is etched into the terrain by the General Crook Trail and the Mail trail, tracing routes established long before modern pavement reached Strawberry Valley.
