Summerford Mountain rises as a prominent landmark in the southern reaches of this Chihuahuan Desert landscape, situated within the northern extent of the Doña Ana Mountains. The terrain is defined by its drainage patterns, most notably the winding Lucero Arroyo which cuts across the arid basin. This 2017 survey reflects the contemporary infrastructure of Doña Ana County, showing a network of county routes including Co Rd E080 and Co Rd E078 that navigate the sections of the Public Land Survey System. The map illustrates the characteristic desert bajada environment, where alluvial fans spread from the mountain base toward the open flats of the Mesilla Valley region.
