Alamo stands at the eastern edge of this Socorro County landscape, situated near the intersection of Indian Svc Rte 54 and Co Rd 24. The terrain is defined by dramatic volcanic and sedimentary formations, including the prominent Table Mtn and the distinct summits of Tres Hermanos Peaks. To the north, Tres Hermanos Mesa rises above the drainage of Cottonwood Draw.
