Tamarack and the adjacent settlement of Pine Ridge serve as the primary hubs in this high-elevation Idaho landscape, where the Weiser River winds through Price Valley. The geography is defined by significant water management and recreational infrastructure, most notably the Lost Valley Reservoir and the Lost Valley Dam. This reservoir is fed by a complex drainage system including Mosquito Creek and Lost Creek, the latter of which features the Lost Creek Falls to the south.
