Thunder Mountain Historic corridor dominates the northern reaches of this high-elevation terrain within the Salmon National Forest. The landscape is defined by its drainage systems and prominent summits, including Moyer Peak and Taylor Mtn, which straddle the boundary between Lemhi Co and Custer Co. A network of water sources such as Salt Cr, Woodtick Cr, and Goodluck Cr feed the larger basins, while Squawboard Meadow provides a distinct break in the steep topography.
