1988 Map of Teakettle Ridge

USGS Topo · Published 1988

About this map

The Androscoggin River winds through this heavily timbered northern landscape at the close of the 1980s, creating a corridor of wetlands and narrow floodplains. The river serves as the primary geographic anchor, passing through the Thirteen Mile Woods Scenic Area and widening significantly as it enters the Pontook Reservoir in the southwest corner. The terrain is defined by prominent peaks and ridges, most notably the namesake Teakettle Ridge and the steep slopes of Deer Mountain.
