1969 Map of Tent Mountain

USGS Topo · Published 1973

About this map

Humboldt National Forest dominates this high-altitude landscape in the East Humboldt Range, where the topography is defined by a series of parallel glacial drainages. Named for the prominent Tent Mountain, the area is characterized by a high-desert watershed where First Boulder Creek, Second Boulder Creek, Third Boulder Creek, and Fourth Boulder Creek descend through the eastern slopes. These alpine basins hold Birdeye Lake and Boulder Lake, which feed the complex hydrologic network of the region.
