1997 Map of Three V Crossing

USGS Topo · Published 2001

About this map

The Little Missouri River meanders sharply through this landscape on the border of Golden Valley and Slope counties, defining a terrain shaped by erosion and cattle ranching. Ranching life is evident at the Clouse Ranch in the north and the Three V Ranch further south, where the river's namesake Three V Crossing and a Seasonal Ford provided critical passage across the water before modern bridges were common.
