Tiber Dam serves as the structural heart of this Liberty County landscape, impounding the waters of the Marias River to form the expansive Lake Elwell. This 2020 survey documents the complex water management system and transportation infrastructure of the high plains, including the Tiber Dam Camp and the small Tiber Dam Airport located just south of the main spillway. The topography is defined by significant drainage features such as Sixmile Coulee and Crooked Coulee that cut through the terrain toward the river valley.
