Yosemite National Park and the Inyo National Forest meet along the high-elevation boundary of Tuolumne and Mono counties, defined by the jagged ridgeline of the Tioga Crest. This landscape is dominated by the granite peaks of the Sierra Nevada, including the massive Mt Conness and White Mtn. The hydrology of the area is marked by numerous alpine basins, with the Conness Lakes and Saddlebag Lake feeding into Lee Vining Cr, while the Dana Fork Trail follows the waters toward the southwest.
