The Cispus River and its numerous tributaries, such as Yellowjacket Creek and McCoy Creek, dominate this mountainous region of Washington. Elevated peaks like Tower Rock and Tongue Mountain provide a dramatic backdrop for the forest's recreational infrastructure, which includes the Tower Rock Campground and the North Fork Campground. The landscape is a network of water features, from the secluded Lone Tree Lake to the complex Tower Rock Beaver Ponds and Black Rock Pond.
