North Caineville Mesa and South Caineville Mesa dominate the desert landscape of Wayne County in this 2010 topographic survey. The Fremont River carves a path through the northern sector, passing the Blue Gate and drawing in seasonal drainage from Neilson Wash. The arid terrain is defined by dramatic elevation changes, notably at Town Point and along the Oak Creek Ridge.
