The Pacific coastline of Grays Harbor County is defined by prominent sea stacks and rocky outcrops, most notably Tunnel Island and the adjacent Elephant Rock. This 2014 survey documents a rugged maritime interface where the Raft River and Whale Cr meet the ocean through steep coastal bluffs. The interior terrain is heavily dissected by numerous drainages, including the N Fork Raft River and Rainy Cr, accessible primarily via an extensive network of Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) forest roads.
