About this map

Turtleback Mountain and the southern reaches of the Gila Bend Mountains dominate this arid landscape in Yuma County. Surveyed in the mid-1960s, the terrain is defined by a network of ephemeral drainage systems including Deadman Wash, Nottbusch Wash, and Red Raven Wash, which carve through the desert towards the Hyder Valley. Human presence is minimal, marked primarily by the Harquahala Palomas Road and various rugged tracks labeled as Jeep Trail.
