Nez Perce National Forest and Clearwater National Forest dominate this interior Idaho landscape, which is defined by high ridgelines and a complex drainage system. The elevation reaches its height at Wahoo Peak in the southeast, while Goat Heaven Peaks marks the northeastern boundary. Between these summits, the terrain is carved by numerous waterways including Battle Cr, Elbow Cr, and the East Fork Moose Creek, which features the prominent Elbow Bend.
