The Harcuvar Mountains dominate the northwestern corner of this landscape, giving way to the broad alluvial plains of the Mc Mullen Valley. This 1989 provisional survey captures a desert environment defined by water management and mineral exploration. Evidence of mining activity is concentrated in the northern peaks, where a Mine Shaft, Adit, and several Prospects are documented. Across the valley floor, the presence of the Miller Reservoir and a system of water infrastructure, including the Happy Camp Well and a Guzzler, illustrate the vital role of water sourcing in this arid region. The lower terrain is further shaped by drainage features like Webber Canyon and Centennial Wash, as well as man-made alterations including a Borrow Pit and protective structures like Levee 10 and a Spoil Bank near the eastern margin.
