Webb Lake dominates the central landscape of this Franklin County quadrangle, serving as the hydrologic anchor for the surrounding peaks and settlements. The village of Weld sits on the eastern shore, connected to the southern communities of Carthage and Berry Mills by a network of rural roads following the Webb River corridor. The area's history is deeply etched into the hillsides through numerous small family and community burial sites, including the Old Tainter Burial Ground and Mountain View Cem.
