The settlement of Westport anchors this shoreline survey along the western edge of Lake Champlain, where the landscape transitions from the lake's many bays to the rising peaks of the Adirondacks. Inland, the Boquet River winds past Wadhams, a small community situated at a river bend. The topography is defined by numerous named summits, including Hoisington Mtn, Stanton Hill, and Split Rock Mtn to the north, which overlook a complex coastline of inlets such as North West Bay and Rock Harbor.
