Willow Hollow Tank sits within a complex network of draws and named depressions that define the South Texas landscape where Atascosa, McMullen, and Live Oak counties meet. The drainage patterns are clearly marked by features such as Merriman Hollow, Ursher Hollow, and Prairie Hollow, which channel seasonal water toward the larger river systems. In the northeastern corner, the Atascosa River is joined by Olmos Cr, while further south, the significant expanse of Yarbrough Lake dominates the border between McMullen and Live Oak counties.
