The Vale Oregon Main Canal, Warm Springs Pump Canal, and German Canal weave through the valley, highlighting the critical role of water management in this arid region of eastern Oregon. Evidence of the historic westward migration remains visible along the northern edge of the sheet, where the Old Oregon Trl cuts across the landscape.
