Plum Bush Cr and its various tributaries define the drainage patterns of this rural Washington County landscape. The network of intermittent waterways, including the W Fork Plum Bush Cr and E Fork Plum Bush Cr, carves subtle valleys across the plains, while Vega Cr and Beaver Cr frame the eastern and western reaches of the sheet. The area is structured by a rigorous grid of county roads, such as Co RD G and Co RD F, which reflect the historical land survey system. This 2022 survey documents the persistent agricultural character of the high plains, where the vast open spaces are punctuated only by these occasional section-line roads and seasonal creek beds.
