Soda Butte Cr carves a deep path through this high-elevation landscape, where the 212 highway follows the natural valley floors. This 2012 survey documents the essential backcountry infrastructure of the region, notably the Cache Creek Patrol Cabin and the Pebble Creek Campground near the confluence of Pebble Cr. The terrain is defined by massive massifs and glacial features, including the towering Abiathar Peak, Barronette Peak, and the distinctive northern face of The Thunderer.
