The Arikaree River winds through the northern portion of this Yuma County landscape, defining a wide drainage basin in an otherwise structured agricultural region. The terrain is deeply grooved by north-trending draws such as North Fork Spring Canyon and the seasonal flow of Adler Cr. This survey illustrates the rigid section-line road network typical of the High Plains, with a series of county roads including Co RD 10 and Co RD 6 partitioning the land into expansive agricultural blocks. For local history and genealogy, two small burial sites are preserved on this sheet: the Olivet Cem situated near a bend in the canyon and the Idler Family Cem located central to the southern plains. These landmarks provide a localized point of reference for families rooted in the rural stretches of eastern Colorado.
