About this map

Aladdin sits along the southern edge of this survey area, tucked into the valley of the S Fork Hay Cr. This corner of Crook County is characterized by a high-relief landscape where the drainages of the Middle Fork Hay Cr and N Fork Hay Cr carve through prominent terrain features like the Coal-Land Ridge. The topography rises to the southeast at Sandstone Mtn, where the elevation markers indicate a steep ascent from the lower basins. The northern half of the sheet is defined by the winding paths of Alum Cr and Oak Cr, accessible via rural routes such as Oak Crk Rd and Mona Rd. The placement of Elk Creek on the eastern border and the various draws, including Spring Draw and Table Mountain Draw, show a complex network of seasonal watercourses that have shaped the ranching and resource-rich lands of the region.
