Malheur National Forest dominates this landscape in central Oregon, where the high peaks of Aldrich Mountain and the Aldrich Mountains overlook a complex network of canyons and drainage systems. The hydrography of the region is defined by the winding course of Murderers Cr and its tributaries, including S Fork Murderers Cr and Todd Cr. These waterways are fed by numerous high-altitude water sources such as Cabbage Patch Spring, Big Spring, and Roaring Spring.
