About this map

Angelus and Catarrh anchor this landscape along the border of Chesterfield and Kershaw counties, where the coastal plain meets the Sandhills. The area is defined by a dense network of watercourses, including the Lynches River, Little Sandy Creek, and the various branches of Swift Creek. Much of the eastern portion is occupied by the Carolina Sandhills National Wildlife Refuge, featuring the distinct topography of the King Sand Hills and bodies of water like Hamburg Lake and Lake Number Seventeen.
