The high-desert terrain of White Pine Co is defined here by the convergence of the Antelope Range and the White Pine Mountains. This 1990 provisional survey records a landscape of mineral exploration and scarce water resources, where numerous unnamed Prospects are scattered across the slopes of Buster Mountain and the central ridges. These small-scale diggings reflect the persistent search for ore in this isolated portion of Nevada.
