1994 Map of Bacon Peak

USGS Topo · Published 1997

About this map

The St Joe River, designated here as a Scenic River, cuts through the northern reaches of this high-elevation wilderness during the mid-1990s. This terrain is defined by the boundary between the St Joe National Forest and the Clearwater National Forest, where the divide between Shoshone Co and Clearwater Co follows the jagged ridgelines. High peaks and deep basins harbor a significant collection of alpine waters, including Halo Lake, Bacon Lake, and the aptly named Five Lakes Butte.
