Squaw Meadows and its surrounding high-desert terrain define this remote portion of Owyhee County, where water management is central to the landscape. This 2020 survey records a series of upland catchments including Squaw Meadows Reservoir Number Two and Squaw Meadows Reservoir Number Three, which support the seasonal needs of this arid region. The drainage network is anchored by Battle Cr and Dickshooter Cr, with the eponymous Battle Cr Lakes situated in the southern reaches of the quadrangle.
