Williams Peak and the high ridges of the Williams Fork Mountains dominate this high-country landscape on the border of Summit and Grand Counties. The area is defined by its complex network of water management features, including the Big Lake Ditch, Dale Ditch, and Rohan Ditch, which redirect snowmelt across the terrain. Several high-altitude storage points such as Cole Reservoir, Dale Reservoir, and Longholen Reservoir are nestled among the drainages of Battle Cr and Skylark Cr. The map illustrates the administrative division of the land between the Arapaho National Forest and the White River National Forest, showing a wilderness transition from the prominent Battle Mtn down through steep gulches like Brinker Gulch and Johnson Gulch.
