Bearpaw Mountain and the surrounding high-country terrain of Whatcom County dominate this late-twentieth-century survey, just south of the Canada-United States border. The landscape is defined by its drainage systems, most notably the North Fork Nooksack River which flows across the southern portion of the sheet. Industrial and utility footprints are visible in this wilderness setting, including the Nooksack Power Plant and the nearby Nooksack Falls.
