1986 Map of Beaupre Coulee

USGS Topo · Published 1986

About this map

The international border between Canada and the United States defines this high-plains landscape in Toole County, where the Alberta and Montana line intersects the rolling drainage systems of the north. This mid-1980s survey captures a rural environment structured by expansive cattle operations and named watercourses. Numerous family-run spreads are established across the terrain, including Sweetgrass Hills Ranch, the Reverse B Bar X Ranch, and the Bow and Arrow Ranch near the center of the sheet. The drainage patterns of Police Coulee and Beaupre Coulee dominate the topography, leading toward Perkins Lake. Small-scale industrial activity is evidenced by scattered Gravel Pits, while the southeastern corner is defined by the winding paths of Kicking Horse Creek and Willow Creek.
