Beauty Cr and its many tributaries carve a network of drainages across this portion of McCone County, creating a landscape defined by sharp elevation changes and deep coulees. The drainage systems of Soda Cr and Dirty Cr dominate the central and western sections, illustrating the complex erosion patterns characteristic of the eastern Montana plains. This 2017 survey shows a region where human presence is primarily marked by a grid of rural roads, including Old Brockway Rd and Chalk Butte Rd, which navigate the high divides between the creeks. The placement of Beauty Valley Rd along the eastern edge follows the natural north-south orientation of the valley, while Logan Rd and Skull Creek Rd provide access to the more isolated upland plateaus and breaks.
