The small unincorporated community of Beaver sits at the heart of this central Kansas landscape, where the local economy is clearly defined by the sprawling petroleum industry. Numerous active production zones surround the settlement, including the Beaver Oil Field, the Beaver North Oil Field, and the Hall-Gurney Oil and Gas Field. The grid-like road network, composed of routes such as Michaelis Rd and Stickney Rd, provides access to these scattered pumping sites and the agricultural tracts between them.
