Willow Creek Valley dominates the southern half of this landscape, where the seasonal flow of Willow Creek is managed by an intricate system of nineteenth and twentieth-century irrigation infrastructure. Significant water management features include Pole Creek Reservoir, which collects runoff from the surrounding uplands, and a series of hand-cut and engineered channels such as Cole Ditch, Loweline Ditch, and E-Side Ditch.
