Wenatchee National Forest encompasses this high-elevation wilderness in Chelan County, defined by the prominent peak of Big Jim Mtn and the long spine of Icicle Ridge. The landscape is a network of alpine basins and creek drainages, including the remote Timothy Meadow and a series of high-altitude waters such as Lake Augusta, Lake Julius, and the Big Jim Mountain Lakes. The drainage patterns are complex, with Chiwaukum Creek and Roaring Cr carving through the steep terrain.
