About this map

McCartysville Flats and the settlement of Snowslip occupy a narrow corridor where the railroad and road systems navigate the divide between two massive federal preserves. This geography is defined by the boundary between Glacier National Park to the north and the Flathead National Forest to the south. The landscape is dominated by high alpine peaks such as Brave Dog Mtn, Sheep Mtn, and Little Dog Mtn, which frame the passage through Theodore Roosevelt Pass.
