Bodega Bay and the narrow Doran Spit define this stretch of the Sonoma coast, where the landscape transitions from the protected waters of Campbell Cove to the wave-sculpted bluffs of Bodega Head. This 2021 survey shows a shoreline dominated by public access and nature preserves, including the Bodega Dunes Beach Access Rd and the intricate trail networks of North Salmon Creek Beach. The settlement of Salmon Creek sits just inland from the river's mouth, while the community of Carmet anchors the northern coastline near Arched Rock Beach.
