About this map

De Soto National Forest blankets much of this southern Mississippi landscape, where the headwaters of numerous creeks carve through the timberlands. The settlement of Bond serves as a central point along the Highway 49 corridor, situated north of the growing community of Wiggins. To the north, the small hamlets of Fruitland Park and Maxie are surrounded by a network of drainage systems including Beaverdam Creek and Chancy Creek.
