Bossburg sits along the eastern shore of the Columbia River, where the waters expand into the Franklin D Roosevelt Lake reservoir. This landscape is defined by the massive transition from the river valley to the surrounding peaks, with Jumbo Mtn rising to the north and Kelly Hill to the southwest. The Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area encompasses much of the shoreline, preserving the riparian environment where the Kettle River joins the main flow.
