Craters Of The Moon National Preserve dominates the northern landscape of this survey, where the volcanic geology of the Snake River Plain meets the high desert. The area is defined by a complex network of ephemeral water sources and drainage catchments, including Brockie Lake, Jack Brockie Lake, and Crater Lake. Human infrastructure is sparse, characterized by the Minidoka to Arco Rd which snakes through the terrain to reach the remote intersection at Cream Can Junction. Numerous reservoirs, such as Gabettas Reservoir and Antelope Reservoir, highlight the importance of water management for livestock in this arid environment. Elevation markers like Brigham Point and Whiskey Butte provide landmarks across the shifting township lines of Blaine and Minidoka counties, offering a clear look at how the land was surveyed and utilized for grazing and transit in the early 21st century.
