Fort Peck Lake reaches into the northwest corner of this Garfield County landscape, where the high plains meet the intricate drainage systems of the Missouri River breaks. The terrain is defined by a network of seasonal waterways and ranching infrastructure, including the North Fork Woody Creek and the South Fork Woody Creek. These drainages are managed by numerous small-scale reservoirs such as the Claribell Number 4 Dam, Big Bucks Number 16 Dam, and Jensen Dam.
