Tshletshy Ridge and Quinault Ridge dominate this portion of the Olympic Peninsula, where high-altitude lakes and deep drainages define the wilderness landscape. The convergence of the North Fork Quinault River and the main Quinault River provides a central corridor through the protected lands of Olympic National Park and Olympic National Forest. Numerous alpine water bodies, including Reflection Lake, Irely Lake, and the namesake Bunch Lake, are scattered across the varied elevations.
